Creditor harrassment

Do not allow a debt collector to disrespect you.  You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect.  Under the Federal Law entitled “Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)” creditor’s are prohibited from:

  • Calling family members and friends to collect your debt
  • Using abusive language
  • Lying, threatening, or harassing you
  • Calling your workplace after they have been told not to.

If a creditor violates the FDCPA, it can be liable for statutory damages, actual damages and attorney’s fees and costs.  We have recovered thousands of dollars for clients who have been victims of abusive creditors.

If you or anyone you know has been harassed by a debt collector, call us today.

If you are being sued by a creditor, or your wages are being garnished, filing a bankruptcy will stop all collection and activity.
